Hey guys, I ran a dio with consult on my 300zx and it came back with code 34 ( Det sensor ) I checked the resistance coming from the ECU side of the det sensor it gave me the following: Between 1.62M OHMS and 1.80M OHMSTested the harness going to the Sensor itself and got nothing. I looked at the wiring and it wasnt even connected to anything. I re wired it and still no reading I saw a post that you can relocate a new DET sensor to behind the plenum so im doing that as we speak The issue i have ran into tho is i did a test on the new sensor and i still cannot get any readings ( i have put the + to each connector on the sensor and grounded it to the block still nothing ) I connected the wiring harness i got with the sensor and tested that but still nothing I noticed on the connector end that connects to the det sensor it only has one metal thing in it ( it is the creamy colored wire ) What my question is, do i need to somehow make the black wire go into that connector or can i just ground the black wire to the block?? Red wire shows the creamy colored connector and the green arrow is the spot where i would presume the black ground would go?
Also, this picture shows the two wires i am talking about The creamy one ( red arrow ) is the wire that connects to the red arrow above and the black one ( green arrow ) is the one i am unsure if i have to make a connector to go into the connector above or just ground it? ( ground it on the det sensor side and ground the other connector side in the picture below )
